We have the honor and pleasure of Actor Monty Lapica participating in our walkathon. His award winning film, "Self-Medicated" was given numerous awards and won Independent Film of 2006. The story is true...the movie is exceptional and Lapica's acting ability moved me to the core. It's a film about a young man that suffers from Clinical Depression. He self medicates with drugs and alcohol to avoid feeling the loss of his father. His mother loves him...but she is grieving in her own pill popping world! Soon to be released on DVD.
